Nine voluntary groups in Waveney will receive up to 500 pounds in funding to support their projects, thanks to the allocation of a Waveney Small Grant.
In December, local community groups were asked to apply for a Waveney Small Grant to support their future activities and from those applications, nine groups were eligible to receive funding.
Cllr Frank Mortimer, Waveney's Cabinet Member for Customers and Communities said:
"I am delighted that these local organisations have been selected to receive funding. The projects which these organisations provide will benefit a great number of people throughout the Waveney area."
Waveney Small Grants are designed to support voluntary groups working to help local residents improve their quality of life. Each year, registered charities, local clubs and organisations are invited to apply for funding of up to £500.
The grants can be used to support projects offering support to key groups within the local area, including older and young people, black and minority ethnic groups, volunteering, vulnerable people and socially-excluded communities. Joint applications from groups working together on specific projects were also acceptable.
