Just a week to go until the seaside town of Felixstowe launches its all-new Christmas late night shopping campaign ‘Felixstowe Unwrapped’.
Over 45 retailers, from High Street favourites to unique speciality shops, boutiques and independents will be opening their doors until 7pm on Fridays 2, 9, 16 and 23 December.
Many will be offering special seasonal activities such as food and drink tastings and “backstage tours”, plus exclusive discounts and offers too.
Enjoy free live entertainment and displays at the Triangle Canopy. On the 2 December, meet Suki the Panda from The Spa Pavilion and learn about their upcoming panto. The 9 December will see carols and seasonal music from the Ipswich Over 50’s Brass Band. Then on the 16 December, enjoy buskers performing around the town centre and a performance from ‘Livia’. Whilst on the 23 December, J.S. and The Lockerbillies will provide a rockabilly song and dance Christmas.
Children can take part in Flip and Flop’s (the Felixstowe Cheeky Monkeys) new Christmas Quiz Trail. Find the picture frames around the town centre and you could win a fab stationary gift from Pierrot Stationers.
If you fancy a break from the shopping, then Café Bencotto, Lillies, Costa Coffee and Crafty Coffee will all be open for seasonal refreshments… at the latter you can also have-a-go at some Christmas decopatching and ceramic painting.
Nick Barber (Nick Barber Auctions) says:
“We are thrilled that so many of our town centre retailers have come on board and are supporting this fabulous new initiative for the town.
With great shopping, free car parking from 1500, children’s activities, glittering lights and live entertainment, Felixstowe is definitely the place to be on Friday evenings in December”.
