Bring the whole family to the Landguard Peninsula at Felixstowe this summer.
Friday 22 July - Wednesday 31 August (10am - 4pm) - play a game of hide and seek at the magnificent Landguard Fort, where you can take part in the fun Summer Holiday Quiz Trail.
Sunday 31 July (5pm) - we invite you to journey to a land of giants, floating islands and talking horses with ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ - open air theatre at the Fort with The Pantaloons. Don’t forget your picnic!
Wednesdays 3, 17, 24 and 31 August (12pm-16pm) - next door, at the fab Felixstowe Museum, children can meet our very own Landguard Queen and get knighted at the ‘By Royal Appointment’ event. There will also be colourful crowns to make, plus entertaining Royal Quizzes to try around the Museum.
Wednesday 10 August (12pm-4pm) - new for 2016 is the Summer Fun Day at the Museum. Enjoy fairy-tale puppet shows, go on a beachcombing walk with ‘Beach Bonkers’ and discover wildlife activities with the Suffolk Wildlife Trust. Don’t forget to bring along your favourite friend for the Teddy Bear’s Picnic, complete with squash, cupcakes and giant games to play too.
Fridays 29 July and 26 August (10am-11.30) - ‘Go wild’ on the Landguard Nature Reserve! Aimed at 7-11 year olds, learn how to spot our feathered friends with two Birdwatching for Beginners events.
Friday 5 August (2pm) - join the Ranger for our Bug and Beastie Day - make a bug mask, catch a grasshopper and go pond dipping.
