The Landguard Peninsula at Felixstowe in Suffolk is a unique, exciting and diverse location for photographic opportunities - huge container ships, wonderful wildlife, amazing objects at the Felixstowe Museum and the historic Landguard Fort.
Now in its 6th year the hugely popular Landguard Photography Competition, organised by the Landguard Partnership, allows both professional and amateur photographers to take their favourite scenes of the Peninsula.
This year’s competition has attracted over 40 fabulous entries from all ages - over three different themes: Sea, Structure and Portraits of People.
From today - Monday 5 September - members of the public are being invited to choose their favourites with an online vote at the Discover Landguard website.
The four top photographs from each of the three themes will then go forward to a panel of judges who will then pick the overall "Judges Choice" winner. The overall winner will win a cash prize of £50, plus a framed copy of their picture.
Voting closes at 12pm on Wednesday 28 September.
Stephen Rampley, Landguard Marketing and Events Co-ordinator said:
“Our hugely popular Photography Competition has once again attracted a broad and varied range of wonderful images over the three themes.
There are some fantastic shots and now we want you to help us choose the top twelve. Visit our website and get voting!”
