With just over three weeks to go until this year’s Suffolk Armed Forces Weekend, we are pleased to announce the official event Souvenir Programme is now available.

Hosted by Suffolk Coastal District Council on Saturday and Sunday, 24 and 25 June, the action-packed weekend will recognise the huge contribution made by our servicemen and women from the past until the present day - it will also mark the 350th anniversary of the Dutch attack on Landguard Fort.

The free 12-page programme provides all the information you need to plan and enjoy the weekend, including the full timetable for each day, alongside details on the Darell’s Day anniversary and our Armed Forces units based in Suffolk.

Paul Grant, organiser of Suffolk Armed Forces Weekend in Felixstowe said:

“The Souvenir Programme not only provides all the weekend’s exciting events and activities, but is also a colourful memento of what promises to be the highlight of Felixstowe’s 2017 events calendar.”

You can pick up a copy of the programme now at the Visit Felixstowe Tourist Information Centre beach hut on the seafront; Felixstowe Library; the Landguard Visitor Centre and View Point Cafe; and Felixstowe Town Hall.

Copies will also be available throughout the Armed Forces weekend itself and the programme is also available online

The Suffolk Armed Forces Weekend is a county event, which is being hosted by Suffolk Coastal District Council and being held in Felixstowe.

This is a community event, which is being supported by a variety of organisations such as the Suffolk Armed Forces Community Covenant, Royal British Legion, Felixstowe Town Council, Suffolk County Council, Landguard Fort Trust and the Royal Marines Association, as well as Suffolk Coastal District Council.
