Business owners in East Suffolk are invited to attend free drop-in events and find out more about available funding, energy efficiency savings and advice on business expansion.
Seven drop-in sessions, organised by Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils in partnership with Nwes, Seetec, LEADER, Menta, the New Anglia Growth Hub and BEE Anglia, will take place across East Suffolk throughout November and December.
The events are ideal for local businesses, of any size, which are looking to expand or introduce a new product or service. Information will be available on a range of grants, ranging from £1,000 to £500,000 and advisors will be present to offer business growth advice. Officers from the Councils’ Economic Development team will also be on hand to signpost to other agencies. Advice will also be available on community funding schemes for charities and voluntary organisations.
Cllr Michael Ladd, Waveney’s Cabinet Member for Tourism and Economic Development, said:
“We received an excellent response to our last business support event held in Lowestoft in June and were inundated with local businesses looking for information on possible funding and advice.
We hope that other businesses, regardless of size, will be interested in attending these upcoming events and find out more about expanding their business.”
Cllr Geoff Holdcroft, Suffolk Coastal’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development said:
“We are keen to support the growth of local businesses wherever possible and we would encourage local business - and those looking to start a new business – to drop in to their nearest event and find out more about the support and funding available.”
The drop-in events are as follows:
