Residents with physical, sensory or learning difficulties or mental health problems, along with their parents and carers, are invited to attend an information event in Lowestoft next month.
Waveney Disability Forum and the East Suffolk Communities Team, supported by Sentinel Leisure Trust, JobCentre Plus and the Department for Work and Pensions, are holding an information event on Tuesday 4 September at Waterlane Leisure Centre in Lowestoft.
Information will be available on support services, transport options, employment, health, sports and organisations available in Waveney for those with a disability.
Cllr Mary Rudd, Waveney’s Cabinet Member for Community Health and Safety said:
“This is an excellent opportunity for those with a disability, and their parents or carers, to find out more about the wide range of support services and groups available in the Waveney area.”
The event takes place between 1.30pm and 4pm at Waterlane Leisure Centre, Lowestoft, NR32 2NH.
For more information or to enquire about having a stand at the event, please contact 01502 523354 or email@example.com.
The Waveney Disability Forum creates an opportunity for people with disabilities and disability organisations in Waveney to come together to consult directly with the Council on the services and facilities which affect them.
The East Suffolk Communities Team comprises teams from Waveney and Suffolk Coastal District Councils and Suffolk County Council.
