Problems with rubbish collections - Friday, 10 August

Posted by Suffolk Coastal District Council on 10 August 2018 | Comments

Unfortunately, due to operational difficulties, we have been unable to empty the bins in several areas of Suffolk Coastal today (Friday, 10 August).

We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused but are planning to empty these bins over the weekend. So, if your grey or blue bin has not been emptied, please leave it out, so our colleagues at Suffolk Coastal Norse can take away the rubbish during the weekend.

The problem was caused by five dustcarts being off the road today, because of major mechanical problems. The areas affected are:

  • Trimley St Martin – Morston Hall Road, Thorpe Lane, Grimston Lane areas
  • Waldringfield – Near golf course area, Newbourne Road and Ipswich Road
  • Kesgrave – Wilkinson Drive and areas off that – inc Hares Close, Peasey Gardens, The Fishers
  • All of Playford and Little Bealings
  • Saxmundham – all areas of Saxon Road, Rendham Road, Mayflower avenue, Seaman Avenue, Park Avenu, Mill Road, Park End, Brook Farm Road, High Street, Henley Close, Main Road
  • Martlesham – all areas of Black Tiles Lane inc Chandos Drive, Carol Avenue, Angela Close
