Tourism businesses from across Waveney are invited to this year’s leaflet exchange, offering the chance to distribute promotional material to the district’s network of Visitor Information Points ahead of the summer season.
Organised by Waveney District Council, the pre-season event will take place on Tuesday 19 March between 4pm and 6pm, at Africa Alive! in Kessingland.
The exchange offers an easy and cost-effective way for local events and attractions to distribute their promotional leaflets across the region and into the hands of visitors via Visitor Information Points (VIPs).
Cllr Michael Ladd, Waveney’s cabinet member for Economic Development and Tourism said:
“Tourism is an essential part of the local economy and our network of Visitor Information Points provide visitors with useful information about local events, attractions and places to eat, shop and stay. The leaflet exchange provides an excellent opportunity for tourism businesses to spread the word about their offer and attract even more visitors to East Suffolk.”
There are now 20 VIPs across Waveney, run by individual businesses on their premises, promoting the area and providing local information - representatives from the VIPs will be present at the free leaflet exchange event to collect promotional literature. The exchange also offers an excellent networking opportunity to meet VIP representatives, other local tourism businesses and accommodation providers.
Tourism businesses whose leaflets will not be ready in time for the event are still welcome to attend to advertise their event or attraction and take orders for leaflets from the VIPs.
Light refreshments will be provided. To ensure your place, please contact email@example.com
