Organisations supporting health and wellbeing in the Beccles area are invited to attend a free event to showcase their services and find out more about working together to support vulnerable and isolated people.
On Tuesday 5 March, the East Suffolk Communities Team is holding a ‘Live Well’ event, aimed at bringing together local voluntary and community organisations supporting health and wellbeing amongst older people.
Organisations working in Beccles and the surrounding area are invited to attend the event and meet with other organisations to identify opportunities for working together and find out how to reach more people within the Waveney area.
Guest speakers will include Nicole Rickard, Head of Communities for Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils and students from Beccles Free School and Sir John Leman High School who will be talking about intergenerational events.
Cllr Mary Rudd, Waveney’s Cabinet Member for Community Health and Safety said:
“By working together and sharing ideas and resources, community and voluntary organisations will be able to reach even more people in need and provide further help to local communities.
We would encourage any local organisation providing health and wellbeing support in the Beccles area to book a place at the event.”
The event takes place between 1.30pm and 3.30pm at Blyburgate Hall, Blyburgate, Beccles, NR34 9TF. Light refreshments will be available.
