Framlingham set to go digital at official launch

Posted by on 29 July 2019 | Comments

Framlingham is about to go digital with the launch of a new free public wifi system!

The historic and picturesque town was chosen to pilot a new scheme titled ‘Digital Town’ to help people access the internet and make use of digital technology.

The new free public wifi system is the first phase of the pilot, which will trial different digital interventions to enhance the town’s economic development and wellbeing – making Framlingham the first of what could be a long line of towns in East Suffolk to receive free wifi and other digital solutions.

The innovative scheme is delivered in a partnership between Framlingham Town Council, Framlingham Business Association and East Suffolk Council.

The official launch is taking place on Saturday 3 August 2019, where officers will be on the Market Hill between 9.30am – 2pm to talk about the new scheme and how it can help towns thrive, welcome feedback and share promotional material.
