A number of the East Suffolk Community Partnerships have funding schemes to help community groups and organisations within the local area.
The Aldeburgh, Leiston, Saxmundham and Surrounding Villages Community Partnership has launched a Small Grant Scheme which is available to voluntary and community groups within the local area.
The funding available aims to tackle the priorities for the local area, as set by the partnership which includes; Encourage and enable everyone to be more physically active and healthy, reduce social isolation and loneliness, particularly carers, older people and men over 40, and education, opportunities and aspirations for young people.
Examples of the type of projects this fund can help with include; Delivery of activities to help individuals and/or groups of individuals/families, activity that will benefit the wider community, either as a one off or series of activities/events, purchase of equipment to support community activity, targeted projects to address specific needs linked to the identified priorities of the Community Partnership, Interactive on-line sessions.
The scheme offers grants between £250 and £1,000 and opens on Monday 11th January 2021, applications must be submitted by Wednesday 10th February 2021, the Grants panel will meet to discuss applications week commencing 22nd February 2021. The Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth and Surrounding Villages Community Partnership launched its Small Grant Scheme in November last year and has now confirmed that a second round will open on 10 May to enable local voluntary and community groups to apply for much-needed funding.
The scheme is aimed at tackling priorities set by the partnership in local areas, including developing active and sustainable transport solutions and/or community transport, tackling social isolation and loneliness, improving physical and mental health and wellbeing and enabling people to live healthy.
Funding will be available for projects which address these priorities and can include activities that can help individuals, groups and families or benefit the wider community, either as a one off or as a series of activities/events, purchasing equipment to support community activity and targeted projects which addresses specific needs linked to the priorities set by the partnership.
The scheme, which will be open for applications from 10 May 2021 until 4 June 2021, will offer grants between £500 and £1,000. Full details about eligibility criteria and how to apply will be available on this page nearer the time.
The Carlton Colville, Kessingland, Southwold and Surrounding Villages Community Partnership launched its Small Grant Scheme in December last year and has confirmed that a second round will open on 17 May to enable local voluntary and community groups to apply for much-needed funding.
The scheme is aimed at tackling social isolation and loneliness and improving the services available to young people, two of the priorities identified by the partnership and may support groups and organisations who will be facing challenges post lockdown.
The scheme, which will be open for applications from 17 May 2021, will offer grants of up to £1,500. Full details about eligibility criteria and how to apply will be available nearer the time.

The Felixstowe Peninsula Community Partnership has launched a Small Grant Scheme which is available to voluntary and community groups within the local area.
The grant is aiming to tackle the priorities for the local area, as set by the partnership which includes Isolation and Loneliness, Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing, Physical Health, Financial Hardship and Educational attainment. The anticipated type of projects will deliver activities to help groups of individuals and families that will benefit the wider community.

The Kesgrave, Rushmere St Andrew, Martlesham, Carlford and Fynn Valley Community Partnership have today announced the launch of a new funding scheme, which is aimed at enabling environmental care within the local community.
Local groups can apply for funding through the scheme for environmental projects, which will benefit the lives of local people and the local environment.
This can include school projects, purchasing of equipment, planting of trees/plants or other activities. The Partnership is also interested in new approaches and innovative ideas as well as sustainable approaches to supporting the local environment.
Grants of up to £1,500 are available and must be spent in the Partnership area outlined in the guidance below. Applications must be submitted by 14 December.

The Lowestoft and Northern Parishes Community Partnership has announced the launch of its second small grant scheme which offers funding to voluntary and community groups within the Partnership area. Applications will open next month.
Funding will be available for groups who are providing services which address the Community Partnership’s priorities. These include tackling social isolation, improving mental health and wellbeing to enable people to live happy and healthy lives and improving the health of primary school children by addressing childhood obesity.

The Melton, Woodbridge and Deben Peninsula Community Partnership have today announced the launch of two Small Grant Schemes which are available to voluntary and community groups within the local area.
The Youth Engagement Grant Scheme offers funding to projects aimed at improving the opportunities and services available to young people. This could include providing new activities centred around life skills, fun or leisure or improving or creating new outdoor spaces or play equipment.
The Village Hubs Grant Scheme offers funding to projects aimed at creating or improving village hubs to the benefit of the wider community. This could include assistance in making premises in the area fit for use as a community hub or supporting mobile services in bringing provisions to a village.
