Community Partnership Small Grant Scheme

East Suffolk Community Partnership's funding schemes help community groups and organisations within the local area.

A number of the East Suffolk Community Partnerships have funding schemes to help community groups and organisations within the local area.

Aldeburgh, Leiston, Saxmundham and Surrounding Villages Community Partnership

The Aldeburgh, Leiston, Saxmundham and Surrounding Villages Community Partnership has launched a Small Grant Scheme which is available to voluntary and community groups within the local area.

The funding available aims to tackle the priorities for the local area, as set by the partnership which includes; Encourage and enable everyone to be more physically active and healthy, reduce social isolation and loneliness, particularly carers, older people and men over 40, and education, opportunities and aspirations for young people.

Examples of the type of projects this fund can help with include; Delivery of activities to help individuals and/or groups of individuals/families, activity that will benefit the wider community, either as a one off or series of activities/events, purchase of equipment to support community activity, targeted projects to address specific needs linked to the identified priorities of the Community Partnership, Interactive on-line sessions.

The scheme offers grants between £250 and £1,000 and opens on Monday 11th January 2021, applications must be submitted by Wednesday 10th February 2021, the Grants panel will meet to discuss applications week commencing 22nd February 2021. Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth and Surrounding Villages Community Partnership

The Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth and Surrounding Villages Community Partnership has launched a Small Grant Scheme which is available to voluntary and community groups within the local area. 

The funding available aims to tackle the priorities for the local area, as set by the partnership which includes; Develop active and sustainable transport solutions/community transport, tackle social isolation and loneliness, Improve physical and mental health and well-being and enable people to live healthy.

Examples of the type of projects this fund can help with include; Delivery of activities to help individuals and/or groups of individuals/families, activity that will benefit the wider community, either as a one off or series of activities/events, purchase of equipment to support community activity, targeted projects to address specific needs linked to the identified priorities of the Community Partnership, Interactive on-line sessions.

The scheme offers grants between £500 and £1,000 and applications must be submitted by 4 January 2021. Full details about eligibility criteria and how to apply can be found below.

Carlton Colville, Kessingland, Southwold  and Surrounding Villages Community Partnership

The Carlton Colville, Kessingland, Southwold and Surrounding Villages Community Partnership has launched a Small Grant Scheme which is available to voluntary and community groups within the local area.

All applications should meet the priorities of this Community Partnership which are:

  • Social Isolation
  • Youth

Examples of the type of projects this fund can support may include:

Addressing social isolation and loneliness, Improved access to services to address isolation. Supporting youth activities to include development of services, Youth activity provision.

These examples are not exclusive, all applications addressing the priorities will be considered.

The scheme offers grants between £500 and £1,500 and applications must be submitted by 12th February 2021, the Grants panel will meet to discuss applications week commencing  1st  March 2021. Full details about eligibility criteria and how to apply can be found below.

Felixstowe Peninsula Community Partnership

The Felixstowe Peninsula Community Partnership has launched a Small Grant Scheme which is available to voluntary and community groups within the local area.

The grant is aiming to tackle the priorities for the local area, as set by the partnership which includes Isolation and Loneliness, Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing, Physical Health, Financial Hardship and Educational attainment. The anticipated type of projects will deliver activities to help groups of individuals and families that will benefit the wider community.

The scheme offers grants between £250 and £2,000 and applications must be submitted by 4 December 2020. The online form and full details about eligibility criteria and how to apply can be found below.

Kesgrave, Rushmere St Andrew, Martlesham, Carlford and Fynn Valley Community Partnership 

The Kesgrave, Rushmere St Andrew, Martlesham, Carlford and Fynn Valley Community Partnership have today announced the launch of a new funding scheme, which is aimed at enabling environmental care within the local community.

Local groups can apply for funding through the scheme for environmental projects, which will benefit the lives of local people and the local environment.

This can include school projects, purchasing of equipment, planting of trees/plants or other activities. The Partnership is also interested in new approaches and innovative ideas as well as sustainable approaches to supporting the local environment.

Grants of up to £1,500 are available and must be spent in the Partnership area outlined in the guidance below. Applications must be submitted by 14 December.

Lowestoft and Northern Parishes Community Partnership

The Lowestoft and Northern Parishes Community Partnership have today announced the launch of a Small Grant Scheme which are available to voluntary and community groups within the Partnership area.  The Small Grant’s scheme is available to voluntary sector organisations and community groups who are located within the Lowestoft and northern parishes Community Partnership Area.

Our priorities are the following:

Social Isolation – Hidden needs and community data demonstrate areas where the risk of isolation and/or loneliness is greater.  Areas include Lowestoft and surrounding wards.

Mental Health and well-being – Improving mental health and well-being to enable people to live happy and healthy lives.

Childhood Obesity – To improve the lives and tackle Childhood obesity in primary school children.

The Grant Scheme would be offered to local groups to bid for funding to provide services to help achieve the above priorities.

It is proposed that £10,000 be allocated to the Small Grant Scheme for the first year (2020-21).  Bids can be placed by local organisations and groups meeting the criteria, for amounts ranging from £250 to £2,000, to be spent within 12 months of the approval of the Grant Application.  Applications must be submitted by 15th January 2021.

Melton, Woodbridge and Deben Peninsula Community Partnership

The Melton, Woodbridge and Deben Peninsula Community Partnership have today announced the launch of two Small Grant Schemes which are available to voluntary and community groups within the local area.

The Youth Engagement Grant Scheme offers funding to projects aimed at improving the opportunities and services available to young people. This could include providing new activities centred around life skills, fun or leisure or improving or creating new outdoor spaces or play equipment.

The Village Hubs Grant Scheme offers funding to projects aimed at creating or improving village hubs to the benefit of the wider community. This could include assistance in making premises in the area fit for use as a community hub or supporting mobile services in bringing provisions to a village.
