Events on council land

The East Suffolk Council Event application system is now open for bookings.

Event applications will now be considered taking into account national guidance on how to operate safely within the Covid19 environment.

If you would like to hold an event on district council land, regardless of size, we can provide support through the application process, give advice to event organisers and assist with marketing and promotion.

We have put together an events guidance pack, which is a combined booking form and guide to planning an event. It highlights the legal requirements of organising an event on council land as well as the terms and conditions of land use.

For smaller community events that intend to attract less than 100 people, the events guidance pack will help guide you through the applicable procedures. The guide is designed to steer you through the event planning essentials, such as risk assessments, public liability insurance and health and safety. Each stage is broken down into manageable steps, hopefully making the event application process a lot smoother and achievable for all.

From 1 January 2022 the way the council accepts events bookings has changed. Applications are now made via Apply4 - EventApp if you have any questions please contact our Events team.
