Make sure you know how to have your say on 2 May

On Thursday 2 May, residents in East Suffolk will go to the polls to have their say on who represents them at a local level.

The new East Suffolk Council was formed on Monday 1 April and elections to the new authority take place on 2 May. East Suffolk will elect 55 new councillors. Town and Parish Council elections also take place across East Suffolk on 2 May.

Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 2 May - check your poll card for the location of your polling station.

You do not need your poll card to vote however it does make the process quicker and more efficient if you have it with you.

Voters who have opted to vote by post must return their postal ballot pack by 10pm and can hand it in at their polling station if they don’t have time to return it by post.
