Under 16s in Waveney can swim for FREE over the school summer holidays!
Expanding on the existing ‘School’s Out’ programme of free summer activities taking place on Lowestoft’s South Beach, the Council, in partnership with Sentinel Leisure Trust. is now offering free swimming at Waterlane Leisure Centre in Lowestoft and at Bungay Pool & Gym to under 16s living in Waveney.
Free swimming sessions will be available at both Waterlane Leisure Centre in Lowestoft and at Bungay Pool and Gym for under 16s, starting from tomorrow (Tuesday 24 July) and running for the next six weeks:

There is no need to book but spaces are limited and will be offered on a ‘first come first served’ basis.
On Lowestoft’s award-winning South Beach, the ‘School’s Out’ activities begin on Tuesday 31 July. Designed for children aged between nine and sixteen, the activities are organised by the East Suffolk Communities Team in partnership with Suffolk Positive Futures.
Running until Thursday 30 August, the activities will take place each Tuesday and Thursday and include tug of war, netball, tag rugby, dodgeball, cricket, rounders, futsal, volleyball, American football, climbing, boxing sessions with Ultimate Boxing and drama and musical theatre with the Marina Theatre.
