Food businesses in east Suffolk can now become part of a new food tourism trail.
The ‘East Suffolk Food and Drink Trails’ website, developed by Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils and supported through Defra funding, is now live.
Independent food and drink producers, cafés, restaurants and other food-related businesses in the local area are encouraged to sign up to become part of this exciting new trail.
Developed using a Defra ‘Championing Food Tourism’ grant of £22,000, the platform will celebrate local food and drink businesses and encourage visitors to explore undiscovered parts of east Suffolk.
Visitors can create their own personal trail of discovery around the local area before they arrive, selecting places to stay and eat as well as things to do from a diverse selection of participating businesses. Trails can be named, saved and shared on social media. Businesses can also create their own trails, which are featured on the Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival and Suffolk Coast websites.
