Bungay residents are invited to find out more about the broad range of support services, clubs and activities available to them in the local area.
A Community Information and Wellbeing Event is being held at The Fisher Theatre in Bungay on Thursday 5 July. Organised by the East Suffolk Communities Team, the drop-in event offers residents from Bungay and the surrounding area the chance to meet local groups and organisations who provide a range of support, information and activities. Attendees will also have the chance to share their ideas about the future of Bungay.
Cllr Mary Rudd, Waveney District Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Health and Safety said:
“There is already some excellent work taking place in Bungay to support the local community. Similar events held in other Waveney towns have been well received and this event gives residents the chance to find out more about what is available to them locally.”
Residents are welcome to drop in to The Fisher Theatre, Broad Street, Bungay, NR35 1EE at any time between 1pm and 4pm. Free tea and cake will be available and free NHS health checks will be available from OneLife Suffolk for people between 40-74 to assess their general health and risk of cardiovascular disease.
Organisations interested in having an information stand at the event are asked to contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01394 444656.
The East Suffolk Communities Team comprises officers from Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils and Suffolk County Council, working together to support local communities.
