Organisations supporting health and wellbeing in the Bungay area are invited to attend a free event later this month to showcase their services and find out more about working together to support vulnerable and isolated people.
On Tuesday 29 January, the East Suffolk Communities Team is holding a ‘Live Well’ event, aimed at bringing together local voluntary and community organisations supporting health and wellbeing amongst older people.
Organisations working in Bungay and the surrounding area, including the Saints and the Waveney Valley are invited to attend the event and meet with other organisations to identify opportunities for working together and find out how to reach more people within the Waveney area.
Guest speakers will include Nicole Rickard, Head of Communities for Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils and Sophie Wood, Director of ‘Thursdays at the Fisher’.
Cllr Mary Rudd, Waveney’s Cabinet Member for Community Health and Safety said:
“By working together and sharing ideas and resources, community and voluntary organisations will be able to reach even more people in need and provide further help to local communities. We would encourage any local organisation providing health and wellbeing support in the Bungay area, or further afield, to book a place at the event.”
The event takes place between 10am and 12pm at The Fisher Theatre, Broad Street, Bungay, NR35 1EE. Light refreshments will be available.
