The award-winning Felixstowe Museum, located on the Landguard Peninsula, is looking for new volunteers.

The museum is a real 'hidden' treasure - where adults and children alike can discover all sorts of amazing stuff in fourteen different display areas, from costumes and model planes, to fossils and toys. There are also special events, learning activities and new themed exhibitions each season.

Earlier this year, the Museum was named the ‘Best Small Visitor Attraction’ at the EADT (East Anglian Daily Times) EDP (Eastern Daily Press) Norfolk and Suffolk Tourism Awards 2018.

There are a wide variety of volunteering opportunities on offer, from welcoming and talking to visitors, helping out at fun events, to administrative tasks and archiving. Learn new skills (or share your own), make new friends, gain a new hobby or maybe get some work experience.

A special Volunteer Open Event will be held at the Museum on Saturday 14 July from 1000-1200. Why not pop down and learn more? All welcome!

Jan Willis, Chair of Felixstowe Museum said:

“Volunteering at Felixstowe Museum is great fun, and we have a fantastic group of friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming volunteers.

Whatever your experience we would love to hear from you. Please come down and see us on the 14th July, or alternatively send us an email for further information”.
