Residents interested in renting a new affordable home in Melton are invited to attend an information event next week.
Funded by Colne Housing Association, 60 new affordable homes will soon be available to rent through the Council's Gateway to Homechoice scheme. The properties vary from terraced houses, semi-detached homes to ground and first floor flats.
Gateway to Homechoice is the scheme for letting social housing across parts of Suffolk and Essex and gives residents the opportunity to bid for council and housing association housing. Available housing is advertised on the Gateway to Homechoice website and once registered, applicants can search for suitable properties.
An information event, organised by Colne Housing, Gateway to Homechoice and Suffolk Coastal District Council, will take place on Tuesday 19 March at Woodbridge Community Hall between 10am and 4pm.
The event will give people more information about the properties and enable them to find out whether they qualify for the new homes. Help with applications will also be available from Colne and Council officers.
