To help prepare businesses for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into force on 25 May, Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils and the East Suffolk Partnership have joined with The DPO Centre to provide an online toolkit with advice and tips on how to get your organisation ready for GDPR.

The toolkit provides advice and support on what business owners need to consider, as well as a checklist of actions on what to do next, all aimed at ensuring you are able to implement the necessary changes.

The toolkit covers internal data protection, general privacy policies for websites, employees, customers and suppliers, help with data processing contracts, an employee privacy policy, general consent notices and data sharing agreements.

Rob Masson, CEO of the DPO Centre said:

“The GDPR is the biggest change in data protection legislation for over 20 years, so it is vital that organisations large and small understand their new obligations. This free policy toolkit has provided East Suffolk organisations with the support they need to improve their knowledge, along with the documentation required to demonstrate their compliance.”
