Road closures for Women's Tour

There’s just one week to go until the OVO Energy Women’s Tour returns to East Suffolk and residents are advised to take note of road closures and parking suspensions which may be in place.

Beccles

A special festival takes place in Beccles on Sunday 9 June, ahead of the start of Stage One of the race on Monday 10 June, and in order to provide a safe area for both the festival and race start, some street parking will be suspended and roads closed.

Road closures and parking suspension between 00:01 on 9 June and 3pm on Monday 10 June:

  • New Market

From 5.30pm on Saturday 8 June, 'no waiting' cones and signs will be in place to indicate where these restrictions will apply - please make sure any vehicles are removed from these areas.

Road closures and parking suspension between 00:01 and 3pm on Monday 10 June:

  • Saltgate
  • The Walk
  • Market Street
  • Sheepgate
  • New Market and Ballygate

From the morning of Sunday 9 June, 'no waiting' cones and signs will be in place to indicate where these restrictions will apply - please make sure any vehicles are removed from these areas.

Sibton

Between 8am and 2pm on Monday 10 June, on street parking will be suspended on:

  • The Street
  • Hackney Road

From the afternoon of 9 June, 'no waiting' cones will be in place in areas where these restrictions apply.

Framlingham

Between 8.30am and 12.30pm on Monday 10 June, it will be necessary to suspend on street parking on the following roads:

  • Castle Street
  • Church Street
  • Bridge Street
  • Well Close Square
  • College Road

From the morning of 9 June, 'no waiting' cones will be in place in areas where these restrictions apply.

Vehicles left within any of the restricted areas during these times may be removed to an alternative location.
