A brighter future for Southwold Harbour was secured today, following a historic agreement by Waveney District Council and Southwold Town Council, supported by local harbour users.
Southwold Town Council, in partnership with the Southwold Coastal Community Team, has been awarded £15,000 from the Coastal Revival Fund to develop a vision for the restoration and regeneration of Southwold Boating Lake.
Local people are being asked to express their views on proposals for the future management of Southwold Harbour.
The Swan Hotel in Southwold has been awarded with the highest accreditation by the ‘Eat Out, Eat Well’ campaign run by Suffolk County Council and Public Health. The award recognises the hotel’s commitment to offering guests healthier menu options and promoting the ethos that eating out and a healthy lifestyle can be enjoyed together.
Following the success of the OVO Energy Women’s Tour in Suffolk earlier this month, amateur cyclists will this weekend have the chance to sample much of the route themselves.
