Due to the restrictions in place at the time of adoption of planning policy documents, the council suspended elements of the Statements of Community Involvement and set out alternative ways in which physical copies of documents could be made available.
A new Statement of Community Involvement was adopted by East Suffolk Council on 6 April 2021. The suspension notices below relate to the previous Statements of Community Involvement.
As restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic ease, the council has been able to amend its approach to viewing documents – further details about the availability of planning policy documents. This approach will be continuously reviewed as national restrictions change.

In line with the national restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the measures outlined in the notices below will be followed until such a time as the council can make physical copies of documents available at customer service centres and libraries. This approach is consistent with the new provisions in the new Statement of Community Involvement.
