First Draft Local Plan

The Suffolk Coastal First Draft Local Plan consultation took place from Friday 20 July to Friday 14 September 2018.

The First Draft Local Plan, covering the period to 2036, contains planning policies and site allocations which will be used to determine planning applications in the area. It sets out the level of growth which needs to be planned for and identifies where this should be located.

Alongside the consultation document, the Council also published the following documents and comments were welcomed on these:

During the consultation period a number of public drop in sessions were held throughout the District.  These sessions were open to anybody who wished to find out more about the consultation.

In 2017, the Council published the Issues and Options document for public consultation.  The comments received during this consultation informed the First Draft Plan.

Comments received on the First Draft Local Plan will be published in due course.
