An applicant can make an appeal against a planning or enforcement decision, however third parties cannot appeal against approvals.
Appeals for advertisement consent must be made within two months of the decision notice date. In all other cases, notice of appeal must be served within twelve weeks.

If you wish to complain about how the Council has handled a planning application, please contact the Development Management Team.
In some cases, you can complain to the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman about how a local planning authority handled a planning application. The Ombudsman cannot investigate a complaint just because you do not agree with the decision and the Ombudsman has no power to alter the decision, even if the local authority administration has not been entirely correct.
