Traffic Regulation Orders

A Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) is made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and it enables the regulation of the highway. Suffolk County Council is the local Highway Authority responsible for ‘making’ TROs for East Suffolk’s highway network.

The kerb-space management regulations installed via TROs for Suffolk’s highway network may be viewed at Suffolk Traffweb. These regulations are patrolled and Civil Parking Enforcement action taken when necessary in order to encourage compliance thereby facilitating the expeditious movement of traffic in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004
