Suffolk Coastal District Council has launched the second round of its consultation on the plans for managing car parking in the district in the future.
The first round of consultation, in relation to the implementation of Civil Parking Enforcement (CPE) in April 2019, was staged in October 2017.
CPE provides an opportunity for Local Parking Plans to be produced defining off-street and on-street parking control policies. The aim of this consultation was to gain an understanding of local issues and possible solutions to feed into the Local Parking Plans so changes can be implemented in April 2018 before a freeze is imposed in readiness for CPE.
Results from the first part of the consultation for both Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils can be viewed here:
By having your say, you’re helping us gain an understanding of local issues and possible solutions to parking in East Suffolk which can be incorporated into Local Parking Plans, defining off-street and on-street parking policies in the district.
The next stage of the consultation on the council's proposals for the future is now open and asks residents to comment on the proposals to implement changes.
The deadline for responses is Friday 8 December 2017.
Full details of the proposals can be seen here:
