|Car park orders 2018|
Following consultations with local residents, businesses and other stakeholders, changes have been made to the off-street parking orders in Suffolk Coastal and Waveney. These changes are detailed in the document below and will be implemented from April 1 2018.
Waveney District Council operate 65 car parks of which 35 are pay and display. In town centre car parks we discourage long-term parking to maximise usage.
A new, mobile payment service has been introduced in some of our car parks. RingGo is a quick, easy to use mobile phone service, which lets you pay for your parking with a credit or debit card, rather than using cash at a machine. When you park your car in an area featuring the RingGo service, you simply contact RingGo by iPhone or Android app, calling, SMS or on-line, and pay for your parking by phone. Find out more...
We work with the Police to reduce criminal activity in our car parks.
Waveney's Car Park Inspectors enforce the pay and display system. There are Excess Charges for not buying a ticket, for overstaying, and for other reasons which are displayed on car park notice boards.
Written appeals against Excess Charges must be in writing to:
