Responsibility for licensing and permissions to regulate premises used for casinos, bingo, betting and the wide variety of different gaming machines was transferred to Local Authorities in 2007 and local authorities have the responsibility for publishing a three-year ‘Statement of Principles’. The next edition is due to be published in January 2025. View the revision in draft form for consultation. The main changes to the draft document are:
The consultation period will close on 14 October 2024.
