This East Suffolk Council grant scheme is part of our Covid Recovery Plan which includes a range of projects identified through our work with clinically vulnerable people over the last 20 months. During the lockdown phases of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was clear that there were specific groups who were particularly impacted, including those with disabilities, dementia and visual and/or hearing impairments and their carers.
The five priorities that this grant scheme targets are;
Boost offers grants between £250 and £5,000, from a total pot of £180,000, to voluntary, community and social enterprise groups (VCSE) and Town/Parish Council who are seeking to deliver added value projects to tackle specific needs in East Suffolk. The lower limit for the first four themes is £250.
This scheme also now offers grants between £50 and £5,000 towards a new Priority; Mental Wellbeing. Please note, there is a separate application and separate guidance notes for this priority.
Round 3 is now open for applications.
The deadline for applications relating to; Dementia, Disability & Visual and/or Hearing impairments, Sustainable Community Food projects and the Fit & Active priorities, is 8th April 2022. Panel meeting will take place w/c 25th April 2022 and applicants will be notified after this date of a decision.
The deadline for the Mental Wellbeing priority is 27th April 2022. Panel meeting will take place w/c 16th May 2022 and applicants will be notified after this date of a decision.
