East Suffolk Council would really like to know what you think about the buildings, streets and places around you that shape your daily life. We would like to know how you feel about and experience these things so that we can make better, more informed decisions about future development in East Suffolk and the future design of the places we live in. Which places do you like and why? Which places could definitely be improved? What do you see as opportunities for the future for these places?
We are inviting residents, visitors, and anyone with a connection to East Suffolk to share their insights. Your feedback will help us identify what works well, what needs improvement, and where there are opportunities for positive change. Over the coming months we will be working with communities, young people, local professionals and partner organisations to understand what is working well across East Suffolk and where there are opportunities to improve how new development shapes our places.
How to get involved now
You can share your views through the project website by:
📍 Adding pins to the interactive map to highlight places you like, places that could improve, or opportunities for the future.
📝 Completing the online East Suffolk Place Shaping survey to share your views on placemaking priorities in East Suffolk.
The engagement will run until mid-April, after which an insights report will be produced to help inform the next stages of the project. This will be available to everyone to read.
