Each year we contact every household to check whether we have the correct people registered to vote and to ask you to inform us of any changes. This year, as part of the Government’s canvass reform programme, we have already been able to contact some properties by email to make the process simpler. We are now writing to properties asking you to check who we have registered and tell us about any changes.
This year’s canvass, which we have to carry out by law, is taking place during a challenging public health situation. Letters will be posted week commencing Monday 3 August to approximately 100,000 properties in East Suffolk asking you to confirm if the details we hold for your property are correct. Please follow the instructions on your letter, and where a response is required please respond online or by text message where possible.
