  • Local plans

    East Suffolk is covered by the East Suffolk Council Suffolk Coastal Local Plan and the East Suffolk Council Waveney Local Plan. These cover the former Suffolk Coastal and Waveney districts. The Broads Authority Local Plan covers the Broads Authority area in the north of the district.

  • Private water supplies

    Private Water Supplies Regulations 2016 & 2018 (Amendment) Regulations

    New regulations relating to drinking water supplied from wells, boreholes and other private water supplies, came into force on 27 June 2016. These were amended by a subsequent amendment Regulation known as the Private Water Supplies (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 and these came into force on 11 July 2018.

  • Woodbridge Junction AQMA - Revoked

    To meet national air quality objectives, local authorities must regularly review and assess air quality in their areas. If a location is found where the objectives are not being achieved, the local authority must declare the area as an Air Quality Management Area (AQMA) and develop an Air Quality Action Plan to reduce air pollution.
