    What is the difference between a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and an Invitation to Tender (ITT)?

    We use ITTs for contracts of £75,000 in value and RFQs for anything below this amount. The process and documentation reflects the risk and value associated with the procurement. A tender will likely have more complex requirements, be of higher value and therefore carry a higher risk. Having more comprehensive documents will help to manage these.

    PowerPark is an exciting regeneration project which will be the heartbeat for the regions offshore renewables, engineering, and maritime industries. Situated in an area that covers the towns port, dock and industrial area. The Port of Lowestoft (owned and operated by Association of British Ports) acts as an important regional sea servicing route between the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, and the Baltic States. PowerPark itself covers 24.7ha and is located within walking distance of the town centre and seafront.

    Why was a survey undertaken?

    The project originated in response to the 1992 Rio Earth Summit whereby those 170 + countries attending agreed to set up benchmarks for their identified priority issues in the areas of flora, fauna, landscape and habitat as part of their Local Agenda 21. In England and Wales this became the responsibility of local authorities.
