    Local Development Scheme

    The local development scheme sets out the timetable for local plan preparation and other planning policy documents. On 12 December 2024, the Minister of State for Housing and Planning asked all local planning authorities to update their Local Development Schemes and to submit updated information on Local Plan timetables within 12 weeks (by 6 March 2025). An updated East Suffolk Local Development Scheme has been produced. This document sets out the council’s current position on plan-making, an indicative timescale for a future Local Plan and information on the preparation of other planning policy documents.
