The Leisure Redevelopment Programme, which began in 2014, is part of our commitment to invest in new state-of-the-art leisure facilities that will encourage more people to become active and fit.
Cllr Letitia Smith, Cabinet Member for Communities, Leisure and Tourism said:
“The Leisure Redevelopment Programme is a key part of our East Suffolk Business Plan and our ambition to provide high-quality leisure facilities that our communities will be truly proud of and enjoy for many years to come.
Deben Leisure Centre and Leiston Leisure Centre have already been completed, and with work now underway at Bungay Leisure Centre, we are well on our way to delivering on our promise and achieving our goal – to provide modern, high-quality leisure facilities to our communities.”
We are currently updating the Leisure Strategy for East Suffolk Council (to replace the former Suffolk Coastal Leisure Strategy). This is due to be completed by early 2020.
