Following the new national restrictions which will see non-essential businesses close from Thursday 5 November, it has been decided to postpone this year’s East Suffolk Business Festival.
Scheduled to begin on Monday 9 November, the five-day festival was due to take place online, showcasing local businesses and looking at key projects supporting economic growth across the district.
Cllr Craig Rivett, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said: “Given the new restrictions coming into effect this week, we felt it was best to postpone the festival and instead focus our attention on providing support and guidance to local businesses during these challenging times.
“This has been a year like no other and our businesses have shown incredible strength and flexibility when faced with lockdown and the subsequent restrictions. Businesses in need of advice are encouraged to go to www.eastsuffolkmeansbusiness.co.uk which will have details of all the available support.”
