Residents in Leiston and Saxmundham are invited to find out more about the broad range of financial support services available to them locally at two free events taking place next month.
Two free events are taking place in December where people can meet with local organisations and groups to find out more about the financial help available to them in their local community.
Organised by East Suffolk Council’s Communities Team, ‘Manage Your Money Together’ takes place on Tuesday 7 December at Leiston United Church, between 10am and 2pm. Local organisations and groups will be available to advise on budgeting, discretionary payments and more.
And on Wednesday 8 December, the ‘Budget Better Together’ event takes place at Saxmundham Market Hall between 11.15am and 3.15pm. Attendees will be able to speak with local organisations for information on financial support.
Cllr Letitia Smith, East Suffolk Council’s cabinet member for Communities, Leisure and Tourism said: “These free events are an opportunity for people to learn more about budgeting and managing their money, especially in the lead up to Christmas which can cause financial difficulties for many people.”
Everyone is welcome and there is no need to book a place. Free refreshments will also be available.
