A summer season full of fun events and activities awaits visitors to Landguard Peninsula, in Felixstowe.
Felixstowe Museum, celebrating its 40th anniversary in August, will be staging ‘The Race for Space’ quiz trail on opening days throughout the summer.
Children, adults and sci-fi aficionados can enlist to help save the planet from the alien ‘Blob’ by finding characters hidden around the museum, which welcomes back the Suffolk Vehicle Enthusiasts Club for a Classic Car Display on Sunday 14 August.
Nature Detectives are required for the Landguard Nature Reserve’s two Wildlife Discovery Days on Wednesdays 10 and 24 August, when the Landguard Ranger will lead free drop-in activities, including the willow creatures trail and crafts, all taking place next to the Manor Terrace car park.
Fort Tropicana will feature a fun coconut people trail, displays and activities with a tropical beach theme at Landguard Fort from Friday 22 July, throughout the summer holidays.
On Wednesday 17 August, the Fort hosts open-air theatre, with a performance, suitable for all ages, of The Wind in the Willows.
Stephen Rampley, Landguard Marketing and Events Co-ordinator said:
“This summer, we have a tropical trail, aliens, classic cars, wicked weasels and amazing willow creatures. Something to keep all ages and interests amused at Suffolk’s most southerly point”.
