Storm Babet - Framlingham

Posted by on 21 October 2023 | Comments

East Suffolk Council continues to respond as part of a multi-agency approach to the flooding caused by Storm Babet. There is particular focus in the district on issues in Framlingham, where a large number of households and properties have been impacted.

As part of the response to events, the Council would ask anyone intending to travel to Framlingham to consider whether their journey is necessary and to avoid the area if at all possible. If your journey is necessary, please consider parking safely outside the town.

The Council also recognises that some car owners had little choice but to abandon vehicles during the worst of the storm yesterday. However, as waters recede, and to ensure safe passage for response vehicles, could owners please now seek to remove their vehicles, if possible, at the earliest opportunity.
