Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs)

Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) are issued when a vehicle is observed parked in contravention of either on-street or off-street parking regulations. These are more commonly referred to as parking fines or parking tickets. 

Pay your Penalty Charge Notice (PCN)

Only pay the PCN if:

  • You accept that this has been issued correctly;
  • You do not wish to make an appeal.

If you wish to make an appeal, please do not pay the PCN. If you pay the PCN, you will not have the opportunity to appeal.

PCNs issued by East Suffolk Council start with the prefix JS. If your PCN starts with a different prefix, please contact the issuing authority as detailed on your PCN.

Early Payment Discount

  • Available within 14 days of the PCN issue date;
  • If your challenge is received within 14 days of the PCN issue date, the council may reoffer this discount upon the rejection of your challenge;
  • This is an early payment discount and does not form part of the appeals process;
  • Does not apply at formal challenge (representation) stages.

Payment Options

You can make a payment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using most major credit or debit cards, including Visa and Mastercard.

We do not accept Maestro, American Express, JCB, or Diners Club.

This does not mean your PCN is invalid.
