Consultation in relation to The Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 - Regulation 61- Assessment of implications for European sites
We, as the ‘Competent Authority’ have undertaken an assessment of the effect of the development set out below and its proposed mitigation measures on the implications for European sites, specifically the Deben Estuary SPA, Sandlings SPA and Stour and Orwell Estuaries SPA
DC/17/1435/OUT - Outline planning application for up to 2000 dwellings, an employment area of c0.6ha (use Class B1), primary local centre (comprising use Classes A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, B1, C3, D1 and D2), secondary centre (comprising possible use Classes A1, A3 and A4), a school, green infrastructure (including Suitable Accessible Natural Greenspace (SANGs), outdoor play areas, sports ground and allotments/community orchards), public footpaths and cycleways, vehicle accesses and associated infrastructure.
Land South And East Of Adastral Park, Martlesham Heath, Martlesham, Suffolk.
In undertaking its Appropriate Assessment, we are consulting Natural England, Suffolk Wildlife Trust, RSPB, the Environment Agency and the Parish Councils which cover the site. This is in addition to and separate from consultations previously carried out for the planning application.
It is not necessary to respond with the same comments previously raised in respect of the effect of development on European Sites, they have been registered and considered both within the Habitats Regulations Assessment and within the planning application, however if there are any additional comments that you wish to make then please provide those to adastralpark@eastsuffolk.gov.uk by 1 December 2017.
