Consultation period: 26 January 2015 to 09 March 2015
Status: Approved 5 May 2015
On 13 September 2016, Woodbridge Town Council as the lead “relevant authority” decided to cease work on the production of a neighbourhood plan for Woodbridge.
Work on the Woodbridge neighbourhood plan was at an early stage and had not yet reached the point of putting forward planning policies for the neighbourhood plan area. Accordingly, it is agreed that the Town Council will work with the District Council, through its Local Plan Review, to update planning policies for the neighbourhood plan area.
For those persons who commented on the neighbourhood plan area designation, or have otherwise submitted comments to Woodbridge Town Council in respect of the neighbourhood plan, details will be transferred to the District Council Local Plan database.
Woodbridge Town Council will continue to make use of information gleaned in respect of the neighbourhood plan to inform other schemes as appropriate where they are not directly related to development. Examples of this could include how car parks are managed; signage and access around the town.
