Introduced under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO) replace Designated Public Place Orders (DPPO). Any DPPOs still in force on 20 October 2017 will automatically be treated as if they are provisions of a PSPO from that date for a three year period.
