The Leader of the Council has authority to delegate Cabinet functions to an individual member of the Cabinet by giving notice to that effect to the relevant Cabinet Member, the Chief Executive and the Monitoring Officer.
This is in accordance with paragraph 5.3 of Section D of the Scheme of Delegation which can be found in Part 2 of the Council’s Constitution. The Leader of the Council may also withdraw any delegation made by him to an individual Cabinet Member by giving notice to the relevant Cabinet Member, to the Chief Executive and to the Monitoring Officer.
