There are certain types of waste arising from home treatments i.e. home dialysis or infectious waste that requires specialist collection and treatment.

Domestic electricals and electronics contain small quantities of hazardous materials as well as valuable materials such as precious metals. They must not be thrown away in the rubbish or recycling bins at home.

Abandoned vehicles can devalue an area, promoting blight and deterioration. They create fire and health and safety hazards and generally constitute a nuisance and obstruction to other road users.

As a householder, you have a legal obligation (duty of care) to take all reasonable measures to ensure that your waste is disposed of properly.
