Imported goods for human consumption are subject to certain import requirements.
If you intend to import goods for human consumption, there are certain import requirements you must adhere to and in some cases, specific documents you must provide to a port, prior to the goods arriving.
These import requirements also set out what you can import, what you can’t import and the countries that are and are not allowed to supply you with specific food items.
For all import guidance, please refer to Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority at Felixstowe Port.
Our Food and Safety Team undertakes port health functions at Lowestoft Port.
Further help and guidance is also supplied by the Food Standards Agency.
