Think Lowestoft

East Suffolk Council and its partners are incredibly excited about the future of Lowestoft and the opportunities to maximise its huge potential.

Think Lowestoft was launched in 2021 following a placemaking programme which looked at the perception of Lowestoft and the priorities of its businesses, stakeholders and the community, to tell the ‘story’ of Lowestoft by identifying its qualities. This involved understanding what makes Lowestoft special, competitive and different to other places.

To date the Think Lowestoft placemaking programme has created:

  • A new place brand and toolkit for the town, including photography, colour palette, and fonts, free for Lowestoft businesses and community groups to use, with the purpose of creating a cohesive town brand
  • Ambassador Programme – events and initiatives created for local stakeholders who are passionate about what Lowestoft has to offer as a place to live and do business.
  • The Lowestoft Story – photobook highlighting what makes our town special, competitive and different to other places
  • ThinkLowestoft.co.uk - a dedicated website for Lowestoft residents, businesses, visitors and investors to find out more about the ambitious regeneration plans in the town being developed to regenerate the town and boost growth.
