We are reviewing our Statement of Community Involvement which explains when and how people can be involved in local planning, including planning applications and neighbourhood plans. It also sets out principles we will follow in engaging on a new local plan, which will set out where homes, jobs and infrastructure will go.
We asked our residents to share their views via an online survey which closed on 24 February 2026. We received 772 responses. View the consultation responses. The Consultation Statement contains details including the key actions the council will take forward, relating to the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) and responses to the online survey.
After considering all the comments received, a final version of the Statement of Community Involvement will be prepared and adopted by the Council during 2026.
